A training camp for either young people that are new to the Perceptions challenged Expedition process or for those that have never experienced camping before.
Weather permitting, this includes
- A practice day walk of 8 to 10 km
- Selecting a good camping site when arriving at a camp ground
- Ensuring the safety & integrity of your chosen site
- understanding how to pitch a tent
- understanding how to maintain good site discipline
- cooking a dinner on the evening of arrival and a breakfast on the following morning
Participants will need
- waterproofs
- waterproof walking boots or Wellington boots
- a 65 litre rucksack
- a woolie hat
- T-shirt
- walking trousers/ lightweight trousers
- Fleece Top
- change of underwear
The Cost?
The cost of attending Operation Assured is £49 per child £69 per adult
- Minimum numbers are 10
- maximum numbers are 30
- No Jeans
- No Jogging Bottoms
- Unless family or school groups, adults and children will be in seperate groups.
